About
R. Oberle is a pioneering roboticist whose work has fundamentally advanced the design of anthropomorphic robotic hands for humanoid and assistive robots. His key research areas include biomimetic actuation, modular hand design, and fluidic drive systems. Oberle’s most significant contribution is the FRH-4 hand, a groundbreaking hybrid that combines the humanoid appearance of a five-fingered hand with the precision of a three-jaw robotic gripper.
