Fernando Vanegas is a robotics and autonomous systems researcher whose work sits at the intersection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), autonomous navigation, and aerial manipulation. His research has made significant contributions to solving some of the most pressing challenges in UAV operation, particularly navigating GPS-denied, cluttered, and visually degraded environments where conventional positioning systems fail.
