About

Vladislav S. Gromov is a researcher specializing in robotics, autonomous control systems, and cyber-physical systems, with a particular focus on robust and adaptive control methodologies for mobile and marine robotic platforms. Working primarily at ITMO University, Gromov has made significant contributions to the design of dynamic positioning systems for surface robotic vessels, developing output robust control frameworks and adaptive controllers capable of handling unknown parameters, unmeasurable states, and environmental disturbances. His work on the "consecutive compensator" approach and anti-windup compensation has advanced practical solutions to saturated control problems in real-world robotic applications. Gromov has also contributed to industrial automation through university-industry collaboration, notably exploring human-free cyber-physical production systems in partnership with Thermex. His research extends into adaptive multisinusoidal signal tracking, DREM-based parameter estimation, and, more recently, the deployment of collaborative robots in chemical laboratory settings for graphene oxide membrane synthesis. A growing interest in computer vision for control education further reflects the breadth of his work. Collectively, his publications have accumulated over 130 citations, demonstrating meaningful impact across academic and applied robotics communities.
