Eduardo Silva is a prominent robotics researcher whose work spans marine autonomy, search and rescue robotics, and underwater navigation. Best known for developing the ROAZ autonomous surface vehicle series at ISEP/IPP's Autonomous Systems Lab, Silva pioneered the application of unmanned surface vehicles to bathymetric surveying and risk assessment, with his 2009 ROAZ bathymetry paper accumulating over 105 citations.
