About
Buyoun Cho is a leading researcher in humanoid robotics, specializing in hydraulic actuation systems, whole-body control, and energy-efficient locomotion. His most impactful work stems from his integral role on Team KAIST during the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) Finals, where he contributed to the development and control strategy of the DRC-HUBO+ robot. This work, which has garnered over 127 citations, demonstrated a complete robot system capable of performing complex disaster-response tasks under degraded communication, marking a significant milestone in field robotics.
