Junya Terayama is a roboticist whose work bridges the gap between household automation and assistive mobility. His research centers on underactuated manipulation, adaptive support systems, and dexterous end-effector design. Terayama’s most cited contribution is a fully automatic dishwashing and arranging system (2021, 9 citations), which uses grasp stability analysis to enable a robotic hand to handle irregularly shaped dishes without complex sensing.
