About
Chunxin Qiu is a pioneering researcher in autonomous mobile robotics, with a career spanning from medical capsule endoscopy to outdoor navigation systems. His work bridges two critical domains: active capsule robots for medical inspection and autonomous navigation for mobile robots in challenging outdoor environments. In his early career, Qiu designed a novel locomotion-steering mechanism for active capsule endoscopic robots, enabling controlled movement and turning within the intestinal tract—a foundational contribution to minimally invasive medical robotics.
