Thil Batuwangala is a structural biologist whose work has significantly advanced the field of high-throughput protein crystallography. Batuwangala's major contribution lies in pioneering nanolitre-scale crystallization experiments, demonstrating that robotic systems can reliably set up 100 nl-scale vapour-diffusion sitting-drop experiments across a diverse range of protein samples.
