Thien Hoang Nguyen is a robotics researcher whose work sits at the intersection of sensor fusion, autonomous aerial systems, and multi-robot localization. He is best known for pioneering contributions to visual-inertial-ranging-lidar (VIRAL) systems, most notably through the NTU VIRAL dataset (2021, 175 citations), which has become a foundational benchmark for aerial autonomy research.
