About

Jonghyun Ahn is a robotics researcher whose work bridges the gap between autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and practical marine resource management. His primary research areas include underwater computer vision, autonomous navigation, and marine robotics. Ahn's most significant contribution is the development of vision systems for AUVs capable of benthos sampling and seafloor imaging, as demonstrated in his 2017 paper on enhancing deep-sea floor images for crab recognition (44 citations).
