About
Akshit Saradagi is a robotics researcher whose work bridges control theory, perception, and autonomous navigation in challenging environments. His research spans multi-agent coordination, semantic mapping, and sensor fusion, with a particular focus on enabling robots to operate reliably in subterranean and industrial settings. Saradagi’s early influential work on formation control and trajectory tracking for nonholonomic mobile robots (62 citations) established foundational Lyapunov-based control laws for unstable multi-robot systems. More recently, he has pioneered novel approaches to semantic topometric mapping, developing methods that convert 3D voxel maps into efficient 2D occupancy representations and identify intersections for topological understanding.
