About
Xindan Cui is a robotics researcher whose work centers on modular self-reconfigurable robots (SRRs), locomotion control, and autonomous robotic systems. He is perhaps best known as a principal contributor to the UBot project — a novel self-reconfigurable modular robotic system that bridges the advantages of both chain-based and lattice-based architectures. Across a series of highly cited publications spanning 2009 to 2013, Cui advanced the UBot platform through hardware design, multi-mode locomotion, and autonomous docking capabilities, accumulating over 100 citations for this body of work alone.
