Shaoping Wang is a versatile robotics and sensing researcher whose work spans flexible electronics, bioinspired systems, swarm robotics, and rehabilitation engineering. His most celebrated contribution lies in the development of advanced flexible piezoresistive sensors, particularly a graded nest-like architecture enabling wide-range pressure measurements with applications in electronic skin, prosthetics, and health monitoring — a paper that has accumulated 164 citations since 2020.
