About
Phillipe Santos is a roboticist whose work bridges the critical gap between theoretical kinematics and real-world industrial applications, particularly in challenging underwater and offshore environments. His primary research areas include inverse kinematics (IK) for complex robotic systems, multi-robot cooperation, and autonomous operations for the renewable energy and maritime sectors. Santos is best known for developing M-FABRIK (2020, 22 citations), a pioneering IK approach that elegantly solves the high-degree-of-redundancy problem in mobile manipulators by extending the computer-graphics-derived FABRIK algorithm.
