About
Jianxia Zhang is a leading researcher in space robotics and medical microrobotics, whose work bridges the gap between autonomous manipulation in orbit and minimally invasive interventions inside the human body. In space robotics, Zhang has made seminal contributions to minimizing base disturbance during on-orbit servicing—a critical challenge for free-floating redundant manipulators. By developing improved hybrid particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithms, Zhang’s trajectory planning methods reduce fuel consumption and enhance safety, with key papers accumulating over 30 citations.
