About

Andriy Sherehiy is a robotics and microsystems researcher whose work spans laser-driven microrobotics, additive manufacturing, and flexible sensor development. He is perhaps best known for pioneering the ChevBot, a submillimeter untethered microrobot powered by a 532 nm laser through thermal MEMS actuation, which has garnered 19 citations and opened new frontiers in microfactory automation. Building on this foundation, Sherehiy developed the SolarPede, a light-powered mobile micro-crawler employing stick-and-slip locomotion, further advancing autonomous microrobotics.
