About

Suk-Youl Park is a leading figure in macromolecular crystallography, specializing in the development and application of cutting-edge synchrotron beamlines. His primary research focuses on advancing X-ray diffraction techniques to solve the structures of challenging, micrometre-sized protein crystals. Park’s major contribution is the design and commissioning of the BL-11C Micro-MX beamline at Pohang Light Source II, a high-flux, in-vacuum undulator-based microfocus facility that became operational in June 2017.
