Kosuke Ishikawa’s research bridges robotics, spatial informatics, and biomechanics, with a focus on autonomous surveillance and surgical assistance. His early work pioneered the integration of mobile robots with spatial-temporal Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for security applications. In his most cited paper (14 citations), he developed an autonomous mobile surveillance system that wirelessly collects and updates spatial-temporal data in complex environments like factory premises.
