About
Jiaxin Zhai is a pioneering roboticist whose work focuses on humanoid robotics, modular self-configurable systems, and specialized locomotion platforms. Zhai’s most influential contributions center on the development of dual-arm humanoid cooking robots, where they conducted foundational kinematic and dynamic analyses using the Denavit-Hartenberg convention to enable these machines to replicate the dexterity of a master chef in ordinary home kitchens. This work, published in 2012 and 2015, has garnered 16 citations each, establishing a key reference point for researchers in domestic service robotics. Beyond the kitchen, Zhai advanced space infrastructure with the M-Lattice system—a self-configurable modular robotic platform designed for the autonomous assembly of huge solar cell panels for space solar power satellites.
