About
Zhen Liu is a robotics researcher whose work spans two compelling frontiers: planetary exploration robotics and assistive rehabilitation technology. Early in his career, Liu made significant contributions to the challenge of autonomous robot locomotion on extraterrestrial surfaces, developing slip-ratio-coordinated control strategies that enable wheeled exploration robots to navigate deformable, rough planetary terrain more efficiently — work that has garnered 35 citations and remains a foundational reference in field robotics.
