About
Yoshihiro Sato is a robotics researcher whose work spans industrial automation, agricultural robotics, and intelligent manipulation. His early contributions include pioneering research on multi-arm robots for automobile assembly (2002, 24 citations), addressing the complex, labor-intensive processes in chassis and drive train assembly by enhancing efficiency and reducing reliance on human dexterity. More recently, Sato has advanced field robotics with a quadruped robot platform for selective pesticide spraying (2023), demonstrating a novel approach to precision agriculture in broccoli fields.
