Dr. Roberta Ivaldi is a leading researcher in marine robotics and autonomous systems, with a primary focus on the development and application of Unmanned Marine Vehicles (UMVs) for environmental monitoring and geospatial mapping. Her major contributions center on advancing high-resolution bathymetric surveying and multi-sensor 3D mapping in challenging aquatic environments. A cornerstone of her work is the PROTEUS (Portable RObotic TEchnology for Underwater Surveys) platform, an innovative, highly reconfigurable UMV designed for polar operations.
