About
Robert Playter is a pioneering roboticist whose work has fundamentally shaped the field of dynamic legged locomotion and humanoid robotics. As a key figure at Boston Dynamics, his research focuses on high-performance humanoid robots, dynamic motion control, and the development of robots capable of operating in unstructured, real-world environments. Playter’s most celebrated contribution is the creation of PETMAN, a humanoid robot designed to test chemical protective clothing, which has garnered 163 citations.
