About
M. Kabasawa is a pioneering robotics researcher whose work bridges legged locomotion and auditory perception for mobile robots. His most significant contribution is the design and development of the JROB-1, a self-contained legged robot research platform created through a Japanese inter-university program on intelligent robotics. This platform, detailed in a 2002 paper with 20 citations, was built on RT-Linux and addressed fundamental challenges in vision-based legged robotics, particularly the problem of view instability caused by walking vibrations.
