About

Dominique Bourgeois is a leading figure in structural biology, with a career defined by advancing the tools and techniques of macromolecular crystallography. His research focuses on developing innovative X-ray and laser-based methods to visualize protein structures with unprecedented clarity and efficiency. A major contribution is his pioneering work on UV laser-excited fluorescence for protein crystal visualization, a technique that dramatically improved the success rate of automated structure determination at synchrotron beamlines.
