B. Kuchen is a robotics and control systems researcher whose work spans visual servoing, adaptive control, autonomous mobile robotics, and teleoperation. Best known for the highly influential 2000 paper "Stable Visual Servoing of Camera-in-Hand Robotic Systems," which has accumulated 241 citations, Kuchen made foundational contributions to the problem of using onboard cameras to guide robotic arm movements with guaranteed stability — a challenge central to modern industrial and service robotics.
