About
Dr. Lisong Dong is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of advanced materials engineering and precision micro-manufacturing. Their work primarily focuses on developing flexible, high-performance sensors for wearable health monitoring and innovating assembly techniques for complex micro-scale components. Dr. Dong’s most impactful contribution is the design of novel molecular bridges to create cross-linked liquid metal and polydimethylsiloxane (LM-HPDMS) composites, resulting in highly sensitive capacitive sensors. This breakthrough, detailed in their 2025 paper which has already garnered 9 citations, enables robust, real-time wearable monitoring of human motion and physiological signals. Complementing this, Dr. Dong has also advanced the field of precision assembly, introducing a serial–parallel cooperative approach to overcome the stringent precision and control challenges of assembling high-density axial holes in sophisticated electronic equipment. By bridging soft material innovation with micro-assembly precision, Dr. Dong’s work is paving the way for the next generation of integrated, wearable electronic systems.
