Ernest Mbemmo is a pioneer in the development of bio-inspired underwater robotics, with a particular focus on small-scale, autonomous robotic fish. His foundational work centers on the modeling and actuation of biomimetic systems, most notably through his research on ionic polymer-metal composite (IPMC) actuators.
