About

Dr. Shiwei is a leading innovator in the field of flexible electronics and self-powered sensing systems, with a particular focus on triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) and electronic skin. Their research addresses critical challenges in human-machine interaction (HMI) by developing sensors that are not only highly sensitive but also ultrathin, superhydrophobic, and capable of noncontact operation. A major contribution is the creation of a flexible tactile sensor that can discriminate between normal and shear forces, a breakthrough for dexterous robotic control.
