About

Yuyu Gao is a leading innovator in flexible electronics and wearable sensing technologies, with a focus on developing next-generation electronic skin (E-skin) and human-machine interfaces. Her research spans piezoelectric nanogenerators, MXene-based sensors, stretchable displays, and neuromorphic tactile systems. Gao’s most impactful work includes the development of cowpea-structured PVDF/ZnO nanofibers for self-powered bending motion sensors (479 citations), which enabled remote gesture control, and microchannel-confined MXene-based flexible piezoresistive micro-force sensors (387 citations) for multifunctional force detection.
