Xiao-Jie Ju is a leading researcher in the field of smart hydrogels, with a focus on developing advanced nanocomposite materials for soft robotics and intelligent actuators. Her most significant contribution is the creation of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-clay nanocomposite hydrogels that exhibit both excellent mechanical properties and a responsive bending capability when exposed to temperature changes.
