Liang-Yin Chu is a leading figure in the field of smart soft materials, with a primary focus on designing intelligent hydrogels and actuators. His major contributions lie in engineering nanocomposite (NC) hydrogels that exhibit remarkable, programmable responses to external stimuli such as temperature and electricity.
