Shimei Xu is a leading innovator in the field of smart soft materials, with a primary focus on the design and fabrication of advanced hydrogel actuators. Her research uniquely bridges the gap between fundamental polymer chemistry and bionic engineering, addressing critical challenges in actuation performance and environmental adaptability.
