About
Seung Min Yang is a rising leader in the emerging field of soft, transient bioelectronics. Her research focuses on developing biodegradable materials and systems that can seamlessly integrate with the human body before safely dissolving, eliminating the need for surgical removal. Yang’s most impactful contribution is the creation of ultra-stretchable and biodegradable elastomers for soft electronics, a breakthrough paper that has already garnered 139 citations. This work addresses a critical challenge: achieving the mechanical robustness of rubber-like materials while ensuring they can degrade harmlessly inside the body.
