About

L. Nicastro is an astrophysicist whose career has been defined by pioneering the robotic, multi-wavelength follow-up of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs). As a key architect of the Rapid Eye Mount (REM) telescope project at La Silla, Chile, Nicastro’s major contribution was designing and deploying the first moderate-aperture robotic facility capable of simultaneous optical and near-infrared (NIR) observations.
