Kaiwen Jiang is a robotics and automation researcher whose work spans two distinct but complementary domains: autonomous vehicle navigation and robotic disassembly for sustainable manufacturing. Early in his career, Jiang made significant contributions to autonomous parking systems, developing sensor-guided strategies for nonholonomic vehicles using ultrasonic sensors and embedded microprocessors — work that attracted over 110 combined citations and laid important groundwork for self-driving vehicle research.
