About
Guiying Wang is a leading researcher in heavy-duty robotics and electrohydraulic servo systems, with a particular focus on legged locomotion for high-load applications. Wang’s most significant contribution is the design and development of an electrohydraulic servo four-legged heavy-duty (FLHD) robot, which addresses the critical challenge of achieving stable, high-torque movement in non-lightweight robotic platforms. In the landmark 2021 study, Wang proposed an innovative integration layout cylinder design scheme and a force–position hybrid control servo actuator for parallel-executed cylinder systems, enabling precise kinematics analysis and control of hip joints under extreme loads. This work, which has garnered early citations, lays the foundation for advancing heavy-duty legged robots in industrial and rescue operations. Wang’s research bridges the gap between traditional hydraulic systems and modern robotics, offering practical solutions for high-torque, high-precision applications. With a growing citation impact and a focus on real-world deployment, Wang continues to shape the future of heavy-duty autonomous systems, making notable strides in robot mechanics and control theory.
