Gareth Griffiths is a pioneering robotics researcher whose work bridges tactile sensing, medical physics, and extreme-environment robotics. His most influential contribution is the **TACTIP tactile fingertip device**, a biomimetic sensor designed to replicate the size and sensitivity of a human fingertip.
