D. Gershon is a robotics researcher whose work has made significant contributions to robotic manipulation, automation, and control systems. Best known for pioneering research in robotic sewing and textile handling, Gershon tackled the uniquely challenging problem of automating garment assembly — a domain complicated by the unpredictable, deformable nature of fabric.
