About

Guoxin Lu is a rising star in the field of supramolecular chemistry and active soft matter, whose work centers on the design of smart, fuel-driven systems for macroscopic self-assembly and motion control. His major contribution lies in pioneering the use of hydrolyzable supra-amphiphiles as a novel class of Marangoni propulsion fuels. By engineering these supramolecular surfactants to degrade over time, Lu has solved the long-standing problem of limited operational lifetimes in Marangoni self-propulsion, enabling sustained, efficient motion of millimeter-scale components.
