Abstract

This paper introduces a boat prototype capable of being controlled remotely over an Internet connection. This function is achieved in four major parts: hull and frame construction, electronics implementation, communication interfacing, and software integration. A successful test of the prototype was accomplished on March 11, 2005. Since then, minor adjustments to the software and rudder system have been made, but the boat itself remains sea-worthy, or at the very least pond-worthy.
