Yilan Xu is pioneering the frontier of wireless millimeter-scale soft robotics for biomedical applications, with a focus on creating miniature machines capable of navigating and operating within the human body’s most challenging environments. Her research centers on developing magnetically actuated soft robots that can climb wet, slippery tissue surfaces and perform in situ physiological sensing.
