Yan‐Hao Yu is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of advanced manufacturing and bioinspired optics, whose work has reshaped our understanding of responsive materials and miniature imaging systems. His most influential contribution, the 2017 study on "Humidity-responsive actuation of programmable hydrogel microstructures based on 3D printing" (133 citations), introduced a groundbreaking method for creating soft, shape-morphing materials that autonomously respond to environmental moisture.
