Sunwoo Kim is a leading figure in the evolution of next-generation wireless communications, with a primary focus on 6G network architecture and the convergence of sensing and artificial intelligence. His visionary work, particularly the highly-cited 2022 paper "6G R&D vision: Requirements and candidate technologies" (89 citations), has shaped the strategic roadmap for the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS), the nation’s largest ICT institute.
