Stephen Peters is a pioneering researcher in telerobotics and intelligent space operations, whose work has fundamentally advanced how robots are controlled remotely. His most significant contribution is the development of the "task lines and motion guides" paradigm, a novel approach to teleoperation where the path itself is teleoperated rather than the robot, constraining the robot to follow a one-dimensional continuous command.
