About
Senhao Zhang is pioneering the next generation of wearable bioelectronics, with a focus on stretchable, breathable, and wireless systems for healthcare and human-machine interaction. His major contributions center on developing epidermal electrodes and sensors that overcome the mechanical mismatch between rigid electronics and soft, dynamic human skin. Notably, his 2024 work on a conformal, wireless surface electromyography (sEMG) sensor system—cited 17 times—enables stable, long-term hand gesture recognition and rehabilitation for stroke patients, directly addressing the limitations of conventional rigid Ag/AgCl electrodes.
