Martin Radenz is an atmospheric scientist whose research centers on aerosol–cloud interactions and the vertical distribution of particles in the atmosphere, with a particular focus on remote and climatically sensitive regions. His major contributions include pioneering the first triple-wavelength lidar observations of Saharan dust, which provided unprecedented measurements of dust lidar ratios and linear depolarization ratios at 355, 532, and 1064 nm—a key advancement for distinguishing dust from other aerosol types.
