Markus Eisenbach is a robotics and computer vision researcher whose work bridges human-robot interaction, rehabilitation robotics, and industrial automation. He is best known for his pioneering contributions to the ROREAS project, a robotic coach designed to assist stroke patients with walking and orientation training during clinical rehabilitation. This flagship work, which has accumulated 70 citations, demonstrated that mobile robots could meaningfully support post-stroke recovery by autonomously accompanying patients through self-directed walking exercises in real clinical environments.
