Kedong Shang is a leading researcher in flexible electronics and soft robotics, whose work centers on developing advanced tactile sensors and bioinspired robotic systems. His major contributions include the creation of skin-like strain sensors using multiwalled carbon nanotube/polydimethylsiloxane composite films, which mimic natural structures like spider leg microcracks and lotus leaf textures to achieve exceptional sensitivity.
