About
Hiroyasu Miwa is a pioneering robotics researcher whose career has centered on one of the most ambitious challenges in human-robot interaction: enabling humanoid robots to communicate naturally and expressively with humans. Working primarily through the development of the Waseda Eye (WE) series of robots, most notably the WE-4RII, Miwa has made landmark contributions to the fields of emotional robotics, robot personality modeling, and anthropomorphic robot design.
